Reviews
- I have the 2CD quadraphonic version of this performance. The performance is terrific and so is the sound. I own both of the Klemperer versions of this symphony and the Solti version. I prefer this version to the other also wonderful versions for the sound alone. The Brahms 4th is a filler and is also wonderful. This recoding was one of the few Mahler recordings by Stoky. It wad made when he was in his nineties during his so called autumn spring. I can't detect any loss of concentration or energy in these performances....Ah The Golden Years.
