Excellent and truly special pressing of this classic. The gatefold, inner sleeves and embossing are top class.
I'll will always have mixed feelings in the mono vs stereo debate. The mono is punchier and the bass sounds fuller and deeper, some songs easily smoke the stereo (most of the Lennon cuts, eg Happiness), but other songs get cluttered. Also both Revolutions being fold downs makes me sad. I mostly listen to Sides A & B from this and C & D from an older stereo pressing.
If you truly love this album, I recommend pulling the trigger on this plus a stereo copy of your choice. I paid $50 back in 2019 which I considered pricy, but now very worth it.

Can anyone tell me if the four photos are the same as the photos in the 2018 reissue or are they more like the originals

If you like mono this does sound really good...but like most Beatles albums I prefer the Stereo version.
Especially with this album. I do love having this copy though...clear differences in the overall mix. The packaging is near identical to a 60’s OG.

Worth the hype for sure. Sounds clear and full. I’d take this over the last two White Album pressings I’ve owned. Not a huge Beatles fan but so glad I bought this, worth every penny.

This one is really brilliant. Clean, dynamic Optimal pressed vinyl. The White Album rocks in mono but it’s hard to find, especially when you consider there’s only really two other versions out there you can buy (1968 original + 1981 reissue) which are both worth £££ and difficult to obtain in top condition. The sleeve reproduction, inserts and photos are all top notch. Contender for one of the best reissues of recent times? I think so. Highly recommend if you love this album.

Grab a copy of this if you can. The sound quality is stellar, the mixes are represented spectacularly. You'll never hear the White Album in mono any better IMO.

Pretty shocking reading the reviews, as this is one hell of a great sounding record. You know a mono mix is properly cut when it sounds three dimensional. Although some tracks are simply not as enjoyable in mono, it’s still a good cut. Plus, you dont have to worry about crappy inner sleeves that the first mono pressing had, as well as the 1981 pressing. Lastly, drop dead quiet vinyl. Big W in my book

I got an extra picture of Ringo with my copy. Score!

My favorite album of all time, so was a treat to finally acquire this version. As has been well documented, the sheer variety of recordings here requires one to have the mono and stereo ... both are excellent. What really struck me on this reissued mono was how songs i usually never cared much for (Happiness is a Warm Gun) simply come to life here. If you can get your hands on one of these, you should.

You need this and the 2018 remix in your collection, no question.

This does sound particularly great, crank it up and enjoy.
