This 12" is truly one of the pinnacles of its era. Coming out of the tail end of the late 80s-early 90s era of independent/random rap where it was all about packing in the lyrical speed over funk loops, Percee P kills it on all 3 songs on this release. His notorious verses on the BQ In Full Effect 12" were no doubt impressive, but here is where he really excels, especially on the mindblowing "Lung Collapsing Lyrics", which is so dense it takes repeated listens to dissect all the lines Percee is dropping. Ekim is no slouch on the mic either. No filler, no weak link, no BS, just a landmark record of hip-hop lyricism in its purest form.
