This is my favourite of all the Vinyl I have so far bought (along with Phyllis Nelson). LLS was the greatest of all the jazz-funk musicians, I have always loved his music ever since I first heard it in the 1980's. My favourites are Never Too Late, Mystic Woman and especially A Garden of Peace on this album. I will try to buy some more editions of this album if I can. The seller was kind and cheerful and promptly despatched this LP, always good when you are buying on here.

I am going to buy more editions of this LP if I can get them. The seller was kind and cheerful and promptly despatched the album out to me, so I was very pleased. Always worth the money to buy LLS's music!!

Melancholic piano-beauty masterpiece merged in introspectiveness, ‘A Garden Of Peace’ was countless times sampled; sometimes, one line of instrument can be enough to make a timeless tune.

        Lonnie Liston Smith remembers:
“What I did was playing the Grand Piano and overdubbed with the Fender Rhodes Electric Piano. So I had both pianos covering each other, but everything is so hectic, so rushing, that it made me build up this thing of listening and going to a Garden of Peace in your Inner mind… Jay Zee sampled it on ‘Dead Presidents’, and Mary J Blige sampled it on ‘Take Me As I Am’. I hope I have the opportunity to speak to them one day… tell them that they did a great job! Great productions, very professionally done!”
