Reviews
- Bought this LP many years. Have worn it down so hard that it doesn't sound as good as it used to. Quality is just "OK". A fun listen and sounded amazing to my teenage ears. And yes, to the review under me the pressing is not perfect.
- Edited one year agoAbsolutely love this album, but this pressing is a disaster. My copy came with audible defects throughout the whole record and had a skip during the beginning portions of "The Landlord Is Dead". The edge of the record is incredibly rough and sharp, scraping the tips of my fingers while handling it, too. Unless I was just unlucky and the other records in this press run are not like this, please do not buy this pressing. Just get the CD.
- Good sound! Nothing special, but I never find Constellation pressings to be "audiophile" anyways. There are no audible defects aside from light surface noise. I like the packaging although I'd prefer the inner sleeve to be anti-static instead of the harsh paper that sometimes scratches records. Speaking of which, there were scuffs and scratches on it, including an odd haze - luckily none of these are audible.
Overall, it's good and I recommend it if you like this band. One of the best Post-Rock albums in my opinion!

Edifier R1700BT - I loved the album as it was released in 2000. And whenever I come back to it (like today) It blows my mind with its intensity and emotionality. I especially love how the jazz elements (or: saxophone, trumpet and flute) are weaved in the rock foundation. Give it a try if you are into abstract rock or post-rock.
- Amazing album. One of the records I’ve owned the longest. That being said, does anyone else find the recording to be kinda flat? Like each track is well recorded but they all seem to be on top of one another
- One of the best post-rock albums off all time - right up there with Slint's 'Spiderland', & Joy Division's 'Closer', this should be essential listening for everyone............................
- I honestly don't know how CST Records makes any money by selling this. You can currently buy this right off their website for 12.79USD new, and along with very well priced shipping and the 20% off coupon that you get for signing up for their mailing list, you can get this for around 10 dollars. Truly astounding
