Reviews
- Photek, one of the legendary names in drum'n'bass, crossed into the mainstream with THE HIDDEN CAMERA single, his first release for a major label. It carries all his trademarks: you can hear the darkness creep through "K.J.Z." while the percussion rattles and snares around the melody hovering around the periphery. The title track starts with some sad piano chords, before moving into a mysterious, bass-plucked atmosphere. The "Static Mix" pushes up the rhythm from jazzy to jungly, though crisp and minimal, and "Hybrid" continues this feel with a jittery energy. Smile, the camera is watching.
