The >Special R.E.M.I.X.E.D. Disco Version< ... call it masterpiece, blue print, influental, whatever! It's a D.I.S.C.O. BANGER of the greatest kind! Clubbers of all nations, put it on and move your dancing feet! Can anyone confirm the KORG KR-55 doing the drums here? The HH is so unique and reveals this and no drum break of any kind! LOVE THIS VERSION!

The absolute pinnacle of Bobby Orlando's illustrious career.

Passion defined the sound of Hi-NRG, showcasing post-Disco before House & Techno captured the dancefloor.

Everything in this track is sublime. From the fat off-beat bassline to the proto-rave main riff (and of course the intensely catchy vocals) you are bombarded with pure ecstasy.

The bridge between Disco & House is here.

Due to the international licensing to a number of small labels, the labeling of the long versions of "Passion" is rather confusing. Up to now, I've found a regular long version at 6:40 and a shorter version of this mix at 5:02 on "O" Records OR 720 and HTO-01. The "Remix"/"Super Remix"/"Special R.E.M.I.X.E.D"/"Canadian Version" labeled long versions are always 9:03 minutes - I have never actually found a version at 8:45 on a 12" as is sometimes listed. There is a short version of the Remix on the Clever/Carrere 8170 12" at 3:54. This is edited from the long Remix and does not have any unique content. And then there is one more remix by Ben Liebrand released on the "Studio 57" double LP set on ARS and BMC clocking in at 7:09. This remix has quite a different feel due to a hi-hat like additional synthline. Up to now, I couldn't find a 12" playing this mix - rather weird for purely dance labels like ARS/BMC.

Does anybody have different versions (except the single mixes)?

This track is so classic. One of Bobby Orlando's best productions and as fresh today as it was in 1982, possibly even fresher on the dancefloor since so many of today's partgoers have not been properly introduced and yet are more prepared to appreciate Bobby's dynamic sound. Hunt this down if you want to get the sophisticated ladies on the floor.

Felix Da Housecat 'used' this bassline and guitarriff for his release "Silver Screen, Shower Scene".

Influenced by Rod Stewart's "Passion", this was a much better interpretation of seedy, sexy dance music. This song is great with electro-clash sets!
