Original first GERTIE pressing came in a JUMP STREET RECORDS company 12" sleeve.

lyrics are sung by Vai Cee apparently. What a golden voice!

A Morgan Geist wet dream this belter of a tune; every sound in its Kraftwerkian place, so gritty yet at the same time so clean, godly. And some great work on the vocals.

Although not listed yet - I saw an "unofficial" pressing of the original Gertie release about 2 years ago. It's almost identical, the kind some distributors press up sneakily themselves to make a few quid probably but there are the usual differences you get - the label has more of a gloss sheen unlike the matt papery finish of the original and maybe some slight font differences too but not 100% on that. Also the original came in a Jump street co. sleeve. I'd be asking a few questions when buying an "original" that is listed as M or NM if I was you.

This shouldn't be a hard release to find, especially the pressing on Deconstruction yet at time of writing, there are only six copies for sale in the Discogs Marketplace, with the lowest price over £20! Crazy, this was a huge club hit at the time in the UK and was a staple of pirate radio for years afterwards, the Deconstruction pressing must have shifted quite a large number of copies and was always something that would turn up with regularity when out diggin' in the crates. Even up until recently on Discogs, there would be a multitude of copies offered for sale at cheap prices. Has some DJ Flava Of The Month dropped it on a mix recently? Whatever, it's a worthy tune to have in any of the pressed forms here.

This is a superb catchy old skool vocal house track with a superb driving beat and riff. Laced with some excellent vocals chanting "i'm in love i'm in love ooooh". This is the original import on Gertie, very hard to find and more sought after than the later release on ZYX. This record is in the mould of 'Patti day' right before my eyes, very catchy and great vocals.
