- I bought this version a few weeks ago. The sound quality is very good. Everything is very clear and detailed. Unfortunately, the OIS is made of cheap cardboard and therefore not very suitable for vinyl. Has been replaced by a high quality innersleve.
- Edited 3 months agoI friggin love this one. From Jersey. Saw them 8 times in Philly. Maiden was the soundtrack of my youth. Love it still and playing vinyl still. So happy I kept all my records! This one sounds friggin awesome. Pressed very well.
- perfect press amazing sound quality, Steve bass sounds so good clear no pops. warm like a record should sound. and a good price. linn naim kef.
- just received a copy from Spain - i live in the US. I'm a little disappointed in that the sound seems a bit low / thin. i had an original US pressing from back in the day and i sold it about 5 years ago to a young new vinyl collector and wanted to help him build his collection. yes I'm an idiot i sold it for only $20....but moving on...it just doesn't seem to have the punch in the loudness department as i remember. or maybe its me or maybe its towards the end of the usable life of the plates, i dunno. I'm buying another copy from a different pressing and see if i have better luck.
- This is the first vinyl copy of the album I've owned and listened to. To hear things so clearly and also hear new things in the mix I've not heard before after 30 some odd years of listening to it, is absolutely astonishing.
I would definitely recommend this pressing to anyone; the vinyl, the sleeves, the gatefold, the artwork... it makes for one hell of a listening experience. - Great pressing of a truly classic album. Where I usually would be critical of sound quality and critical of how well defined the instruments are in the lower registers and how good the attack is.... for this album I say the hell with it. This is classic Iron Maiden and it rocks... hard! Great album that brought a big smile to my face. Well worth the price whether it is your first copy or a replacement copy. Enjoy!
- Great pressing, not overpowering sound (tired of this loudness wars bullshit where everything needs to be loud and deafening. I want to hear the music and instruments not loud noise ). This version does that at least for me, I felt like I was at the concert and could hear Bruce and every instrument clearly. I originally owned it on CD and this killed it, I'm satisfied.
- Reading the comments I was expecting to just turn the volume up and enjoy. Wrong! There is literally ZERO low end present. I thought my SVS subs were off, nope. I had to turn on my equalizer and move the 60Hz all the way up and that made very little improvement. Returning it and putting on my excellent sounding “En Vivo!” which to me is still their best sounding live album.
- I own multiple copies of this album (Original CDN, Japan et cetera). This is a great looking and great sounding pressing.
