Reviews
- The treble is so severely rolled off in the interest of “noise reduction”, and the bass so boosted, that the collection is hard to listen to or even "hear". I wonder how it compares to the original shellac discs.
- Don't worry: These are the original mono-recordings. The sound is not too great, but it's an impressive body of work by one of the greatest jazz composers, pianists & improvisers ever: Long live Mary Lou Williams! You're the true queen of jazz.
