The original U.S. 12” sounds positively anemic in comparison to this pressing. Super-quiet vinyl, excellent mastering and a great remix. The granddaddy of them all.

My version seems to have a misprinted, barely visible off-white label on side A.... I assume it's a manufacturing issue but would be interested to know if there was a run like this. The label on side 2, the sleeve and all etchings seem to be the same as this version.

One of the best dance remixes ever created, even though you nay sayers think the original is better.
Guess what they are both brilliant…just different.
Don’t play it at a wedding though, they won’t understand.

The original MegaMix was actually done in '78 and was 15min 43sec. It was released on Disconet a few years before it was released on the Casablanca 12". It was on Disconet's Vol. 3, Program 7. It was hard for me to believe it had been recorded so early. This must've blown minds back in '78!

Note: The real duration of the "Megamix Version" is 11Min 15sec.
And it doesn't sound like a real megamix. Which is good as this extended mix version is a great classic as it is!
The Edit with 8'50 is rightly indicated on the B-Side.

I love PC and haven't really listened to this mix, just the controversy it creates and the whining it induces is joy enough for me lol. The people complaining about it don't even realize they sound like the first snobs who said disco should die...

Don't reinvent sounds and stay the same these fools would say. Thank god for Patrick Cowley!!

Big Patrick Cowley fan so was surprised to realise that he had his own mix of this classic. Prices were steep but I found this beauty at my local record store for £4... Bargain!

Previous reviewers...the existence of this doesn't erase the original, & it is entirely in keeping with the vibe. Wonderful 15 minute riff on the OG.
