In the rock world I recently discovered it was a Boston album, as one of the first made for a CD release 1stly and vinyl 2nd. But me seeing those tiny things back then thought, not for me up until circa 1994. So a good 10 yrs. What put me off was even Jimi Hendrix sounding like disco on CD...fine for Samantha Fox and other pop stars but not rock I thought, and still prefer vinyl though CD+DVD combos are great nostalgia with videos.

    Be well,

I've heard the CD Promo of this in 1981 was the very 1st Cd ever mass produced albeit for demonstration purposes. Only a few thousand perhaps. So I'm surprised to find it was never issued on CD commercially at the time. It was followed by Abba's The Visitors (1982) and then releases by Bruce Springsteen (1984) and Dire Straits (1985). To name a few.. I'd always thought Peter Gabriel had, had the Honour of releasing the very 1st CD. I guess not. I was interested In buying a copy of the very 1st CD whatever It actually may be!
