Joan Male is Monoceros and this is his debut single on the PhonoBox label. Presenting an EP with 4 tracks on Side A and 4 tracks on Side B which are exactly the same but reversed. The tracks and rhythms were designed to be played in both directions without any post-production. The music follows the roots of his debut album "When i was a child i wanted to be an astronaut" (Expanding Records - uk 2005) but with more simple rhythms and with the use of acoustic guitar which is an advance of what this artist is planning on his upcoming works.

Simply stunning 8 track album from Monoceros, lush sounds, punctuating drums and percussive elements. Each track has that distinctive trademark sound and feel of the previous material and sits nicely in my collection alongside the excellent 'When I Was A Child I Wanted To Be An Astronaut'.
If I ever make music of this quality and beauty, I will die a happy man.
