The vinyl seems good, the vibe is great, but quality of the original mix is really terrible. It still remains highly enjoyable.

nuits sonores is one of the best track of 2014, very soulful and trippy, i love it how can someone says it's médiocre !!

I think when the buzz over how awesome 'Nuits Sonores' is once calms down, listeners actually will find that 'Nectarines' is the better track of this record. 'Nuit Sonores' is a hastily made jam stretched to a full song and comparing it to other works of Floating Points, it sounds very mediocre

On my version the first two minutes are just fine (and grainy) but around the breakdown mid-in the sound quality is really not good. Doesn't change the vibe though… great!

Great tunes but my vinyl just arrived and I agree the first few minutes sound terrible, very annoying.

Just got copy from Vinyl-Digital. I have nothing to complain about mastering. Some synths sounds harsh all over it, and some kicks on Side B - but from my point of view it's how things are in digital stuff these days. All these imitations and processing made me hate contemporary how-its-so-called-today deep house. It's never sound as tape, but simply out of any focus (I wont call it dull, as dull has something anyways). So even if it was recorded or cut from tape, all issues goes from "instruments". In other words I think this is how it was recorded, I don't think we can blaim John Dent here.
