Reviews
- Avoid this pressing. It's sped up in pitch and a huge step down in sound quality when compared side by side with the 2005 remastered CD. Look for a vintage pressing unless you absolutely need to have this album. The peach color is nice, though.
- This is indeed about as good a pressing you can find, probably the best save for maybe an original Westbound, but you're forking over $150+ for one of those! I've heard the 80's/90's pressings sound like crap, and the 4 Men With Beards pretty mixed. Saw good reviews for these colored re-releases from 2013/2014 (I got the splattered peach one). Really nice packaging, and the peach color is really cool. Nice thick cut.
Sound quality is excellent. Not sure of the source, but it doesn't matter. The guitars sound dense and the bass and kick drums dig deep, but aren't boomy. Tons of detail, good soundstage. It's not a great recording in general, so don't expect any kind of sonic marvel, but I'm rather impressed by this copy. - Points to this pressing "This is the girl" .
This one is miles better and just got repressed, snag a copy - I got this pressing today from my local store (I waited for about 6 months). When I ordered it was labeled as a "High-Qualitative". When I opened it was a colored vinyl and I was skeptical, since my experience have been that what you pay for the color record is what you loose in sound quality - BUT!! This one sounds great!! Dynamic, deep and silent! BUY!
- I would love for an OG copy to get the Bernie Grundman treatment maybe at 33 and 45rpm from the original analog tapes cut by Chris Bellman a girl can wish.
