I’ve always been a bigger fan of Muddy’s electric output, much more than his earlier acoustic jaunts, and this album might be the nastiest and rawest of all his electric output. The music is downright dirty, powerful and emotional. It’s angry and it’s wonderful.

This press is a good one. Nice mastering with quiet vinyl that’s slightly bass forward, which drives things really well. Don’t sleep on these ‘transitional’ Muddy albums from the late-60’s/early 70’s. The man had great output through it all.

This album flat out rocks. Raw and heavy with an almost psychedelic undertone to the production. Easily in my top 3 favorite Muddy Waters records.

Brilliant blues record. Rough & raw playing. Love it. Recommended.

This is a great, if often overlooked Muddy album. On the heels of "Electric Mud", this album keeps with the reinvented blues sound that chess was pushing at the time, but somehow sounds less forced and less contrived. Even though its late in the game in terms of Muddy's career, this album rocks and is one I have in heavy rotation.
