Fairly early pop / rap; released 1990 when the music seemed cutting edge to the mainstream, the LP is a collection of largely up tempo dance orientated pop and rap with some house influences, samples and loops. Not sure if it should be considered an important LP but it was immensely popular in 1990 and was certainly responsible for further bringing hip hop, rap and house into the mainstream. The LP kicks off with two huge hit singles 'Where Are You Baby?' and 'Hey DJ' and her other hit 'Doin the Do' is on the flip side. The rest of LP does not really hit the highs of these four tracks but it extremely enjoyable filler nevertheless. I personally like the album track 'Boo's Boogie' which reminds the listener of the KLF's 'White Room' LP. 'Don't Know What To Do' on side 2 is also worth playing. Overall this LP is an excellent listen and well worth sghelling out a few pence for.
