Reviews
- spinning this album more times since i've discovered it years ago, i personally consider his to be a underrated magnum opus (beside the death of rave and other gems such as machine components / chart runners). what the caretaker's "An Empty Bliss Beyond This World" is said to be the best, this, i feel, has the same bleak atmosphere, but dismissed because of it's heavy and abrasive sounds. like a radio station spewing aural pus and decay, writhing maggots in a pig's corpse and bleak soundscapes, all of the tracks flow very well with each other. if this the soundtrack of a soul entering afterlife, some could consider it hell or heaven, "one is right, one is wrong".
- Fed up of V/Vm just murdingering 'classics'? Try this out for size. Not so much a 12" as an album, yes, there are some butchered tunes here (most memorably Careless Whisper ne Trotter), but most of the tracks are either pure rhythmic noise or dark ambience.
