Listening to this LP is a cinematic experience that is not always perfect, but does glisten with moments astounding beauty.
Suggested for lovers of ambient, OST's. IDM and avant garde music creations. - Edited 5 years agoIt is by far his best work, certainly the album of the year and to me, one of my all time favourites!!! This is one of the ambient albums I would take with me on the way to the desert island (Biosphere's "Substrata" comes first) ... it's got a particular beauty and the production is top notch, Alva Noto knows how to pull his sounds off in an audiophile quality ;-)
First half is just gorgeous. Not that the other half is shabby. It is just different movement. Very classical themed. Should have broken in two symphony, starting with Allegro and ending with presto. Yes, indeed it is that good. Mr Alva Noto knows his music . Not just few notes put together. There is deep thinking here. One of his best!
