Show All 27 Reviews- I’ve never bought a Gorillaz album on vinyl that hasn’t sounded fantastic. I’ll be honest, I’ve only got this one, Plastic Beach (my favourite), The Now Now, and Cracker Beach. All 4 sound the business. And the records are quiet with no rumbling or whooshing effects. Highly recommended. Oh, and they are all superb albums. I’m a much bigger fan of this than I ever was of Blur.
If anyone reads this, which of the other albums would you say are essential? I’ve heard Demon Days, though why I’ve not got a copy 🤷♂️….. but the others I haven’t a clue. I’m drawn to the one with Bob Smith on a song. Any recommendations would be gratefully received - It’s a muthafxxkin masterpiece! Classic album - clean - great pressing. Sounds fresh 20 something years later. New Gorillaz album out today!
- Great pressing.
Although the locked groove before the "Clint Eastwood" on side D was a bit frustrating.
It's supposed to be there, right? - A pressing that truly blew me away!
No noticable pops or surface noise at all, just a dynamic and crisp sound breaking through from low-end to top-end. Quality control seems very good, with the records being pristine inside a very sturdy sleeve.
Recommended without a single doubt! - Edited 9 months agoI concur with the affirmative. This release is boss. Quiet, full range sound that on my deck sounds bigger than the original CD release. Gatefold with artwork everywhere including inserts. If you don't have this classic on LP this release is well worth it.
- I'm surprised this doesn't have a unanimous 100% or closer to it. It sounds exceptional, vivid as hell, and the packaging is killer.
- Edited one year agoSo glad I finally decided to pull the trigger on this thing. It's an absolutely superb, quiet pressing. Really happy with it. It's a trip hop classic well worth its place in any collection, and in my view it's stood up to the test of time extraordinarily well. My only real criticism is that I'd personally love to skip the locked grove (no pun intended). It might be amusing the first one or two times conceptually but eventually it's like an overtold joke. Not funny anymore.
