Music great ruined by brickwalling mastering and their lo-fi sound with awful noise and distortion.

I bought 2 copies of this album over the course of the last 2 weeks and both skipped on both sides so bad it’s unlistenable.

Isn't this considered an EP? Why is it under albums?

This tribute album is OK, almost sounds as if they are just sat around playing through some old tunes. We know they can do authentic blues, but it is a little boring. I know it's supposed to be hypnotic, but it just lacks any edge.

There is also a picture disc format. If I knew how to add/edit the versions I would :/

This 'stopgap' EP as All-Music calls it is truly remarkable. I must say this is one of my favorite albums of the year, even though it is a six track EP. It's the Black Keys covering the songs of Junior Kimborough. The Keys do an excellent job of making these songs their own, but keeping to the tradition. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone. Junior's style of blues is what he called trance blues. He would play the same chord over and over and it is quite hypnotic.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it sleepy music though; it is definitely relaxing, but there is energy to it.
