Northern Electronics supreme gem, an absolutely smashing release, sometimes i like to delude myself that Vikernes is behind it, and it gets even better.
This is THE Varg album so far for me. It's obviously a very personal record to the man too, judging by it. It's super emotive, super dark and just super sick.

behind on the cover of the record is says: "den har skivan dedikerad till alla mina vanner som togs for tidigt"
and inside of the record is a paper with a picture and this writing:
"vi har det, tycker jag, okej ordnat med det mesta.
har finns nastan allt vi behover.
jag ska leva resten av mitt liv har, ingenting ska ske annorlunda.
jag har sagt till dem att den dag jag gar bort,
sa vill jag att de ska lagga min aska over Ohn.
Dar borde jag fa sluta mina dagar.
Vid varvet & berget nedanfor Agngatan.
Jag tror det gar att leva har, jag vet att det gar att do har ocksa."
Can anybody translate that and maybe tell a backstory - if there is one.

The resemblance of track 4 on this - Vitberget - and Shifted's wash over me is uncanny

probably one of his most beautiful piece of work under the Varg moniker !
You can almost feel the melancholy and imagine the cold and lonely place that was his howetown, and nearly grasp the sad stories and thoughts that he went through.. Simply beautiful.
Technically-wise he's getting better and better also. Top work here sir, easily one of my favourite albums of all time !
