This album is a masterpiece -- if I could give it 6 out 5 I would. I've been listening to it on and off since perhaps as early as 1989, and I still haven't stopped. But regarding this specific release (the 40th Anniversary LP 'Édition'), I cannot imagine a better one. Everything is crystal-clear, and after what seems like countless plays (I've been playing it frequently for a year now) it still sounds NM to me! Completely outstanding! (I'm not an audiophile, I have rubbish speakers, and it still sounds amazing!) My only 'fantasy gripe' is that I would have inserted "Summerday Sands" (the B-side of the original "Minstrel in the Gallery" single) between "One White Duck" and "Baker St. Muse", but that's just me -- it's still a six out five album!

Definitely my favourite Tull album so I am biased, but this is the best version you could get. The mixing is great and the strings on this album just pull you in.

When I purchased this new...I sat in the sweet ready...then sat there with my jaw dropping the entire time. I have to say It blew me away. It still does. It is a masterpiece and it sounds fantastic. The package is also beautiful. I will never part with this ...sorry.

Blows the og clean away. Never has been the best Tull recording but has never sounded better. I agree a repress would be great but this was from a time when Optimal did top work... since covid their pressings regularly - worryingly even - suck.

            This needs a repress. . . . . . . .
