Fortunately, I did not have the issues that some others have experienced with this pressing. Sounds very nice and absolutely dead silent. No issues.

Fantastic record although it took some aggressive cleaning with my Okki Nokki to get the surface noise out of it. Sounds nice now though.

Interesting. I also have the highest regard for ECM quality but the NM copy I purchased had terrible surface noise. The music really needs black background; the noise made the record unlistenable. I had to return it and the seller was gracious and easy to work with. I ordered a second copy and it was fine. Love this band and this record. Don't know why this ECM release seems to have quality issues.

Stunning music – but the vinyl mastering and pressing aren't up to the same standard. The recording is great though.

My copy sounds great and super quiet almost the whole way through. I wouldn't be dissuaded from from purchasing this because of the other reviews. This sounds very much up to ECM's generally excellent standards of quality control.

This has to be the biggest let down in my collection.... Such an incredibly high amount of surface noise. I should have returned it. Ugghhhh. I do love the album. Iyer is a genius.
