Reviews
- Fortunately, I did not have the issues that some others have experienced with this pressing. Sounds very nice and absolutely dead silent. No issues.
- Fantastic record although it took some aggressive cleaning with my Okki Nokki to get the surface noise out of it. Sounds nice now though.
- Interesting. I also have the highest regard for ECM quality but the NM copy I purchased had terrible surface noise. The music really needs black background; the noise made the record unlistenable. I had to return it and the seller was gracious and easy to work with. I ordered a second copy and it was fine. Love this band and this record. Don't know why this ECM release seems to have quality issues.
- Stunning music – but the vinyl mastering and pressing aren't up to the same standard. The recording is great though.
- My copy sounds great and super quiet almost the whole way through. I wouldn't be dissuaded from from purchasing this because of the other reviews. This sounds very much up to ECM's generally excellent standards of quality control.
- This has to be the biggest let down in my collection.... Such an incredibly high amount of surface noise. I should have returned it. Ugghhhh. I do love the album. Iyer is a genius.
