A little surprised at the rave reviews given this - to me it feels meandering and lacking in fully formed ideas, most of the tracks being below two or three minutes. The only time it really stretches out is on the clear highlight Entrance To Warrambool, where the saxophone and guitar finally get the room to state some truly wonderful themes, followed by a mellotron coda. But as it is, I want to know if the tapes still exist - most of the songs feel like they've been edited down dramatically.
