Nice two-tracker, in the vein of northern techno artists' fascination for Maurizio and Basic Channel-inspired glacial-yet-warmish dub techno (see also Iceland's Thule or Sweden's Svek for more classic examples). So Matt Thibideau is canadian, and this EP showcases best his ability for Basic Channel-flavoured pieces with a slightly warmer deep-techno approach also fitting blunted househeads, hence its scarcity as this is typically the kind of scene-crossing material that has been brought back to the attention of younger crowds in recent years by influential DJs like Fred P, and well deservedly so. Music to dance deep under the aurora borealis.
