180 gram heavyweight vinyl in gatefold sleeve. Issued with black die-cut antistatic protective inner.
[Liner notes inside gatefold sleeve:] "Most of the music contained in this album originates from recordings I made in London in 1982, whilst working on the score for the film Blade Runner. Finding myself unable to release these recordings at the time, it is with great pleasure that I am able to do so now. Some of the pieces contained will be known to you from the Original Soundtrack of the film, whilst others are appearing here for the first time. Looking back at Ridley Scott's powerful and evocative pictures left me as stimulated as before, and made the recompiling of this music, today, an enjoyable experience." - Vangelis. Athens, April 1994

The credit on the inner gatefold for Don Percival as performer of A6 erroneously gives the track title as "One More Rainy Day"

Pressing is quiet, in a way that the music is quiet, had to turn up my volume up a lot. Turning the volume up means that all that crackling is amplified too, great... Speaking of crackling, it has quite a lot of surface noise, listening on headphones was not pleasant at all, to be honest. So yeah, not too impressed by the quality, but at least the sound is good. The synth made my furniture vibrate. Such great tracks from Vangelis. Maybe a deep clean would help a bit with the surface noise...
Been offered this record for Christmas, and I was anxious about the sound quality of it. Fortunately, it seems that i'm a lucky one, and the record is very quiet with no surface noise. The dynamic could be upgraded, but it's widely enough for a good home listening. Didn't notice distortion on this one too. The other pressings are outrageously expensive. Maybe you should give a try !
Amazing sounding hot-wax, having a stereo soundstage so holographically 3-D it's ridiculous. Effortlessy liquid in it's fidelity, with wicked-good bass as well. Vinyl itself is whispr-quiet on my copy. The cover is also bitchin'...just sayin'.
