Reviews
- My word, I found a pressing that hasn't been run over by a truck...after about the third try. Great sounding album and pressing!
- This album came out in February ,1976 and I saw a "GOLD RECORD AWARD" on it after about six (6) weeks it seems. This album propelled BOZ SCAGGS' career after splitting with the STEVE MILLER BAND and going solo. He had some mediocre albums before "SILK DEGREES" and was wanting something more. "LOWDOWN" and "LIDO SHUFFLE" were the biggest hits on this album. NOTE : "WE'RE ALL ALONE" was a hit for RITA COOLIDGE .
- The album where everything came together for Boz. Every song is an absolute stunner, with maybe the exception of Jump Street. It’s breezy, melodic, and full of whiteboy soul. Look up the word “cool” in the dictionary, and you’ll see “Silk Degrees.” A+
- David Paich co-wrote half the songs on this album, which in many ways was a Toto collaboration before Toto existed. Love Me Tomorrow is a Paich composition. Boz Scaggs + Toto, not an accident that this album is so good.
