Greg Perry had a highly successful career writing and producing hits for other artists including Chairmen of the Board, Freda Payne, and his wife Edna Wright, the lead singer of Motor City vocal trio Honey Cone. Perry’s first solo album shows off his lyrical ability with smooth storytelling and his own silky vocals. In December 2022, Perry sued hip-hop artist Roddy Ricch for copyright over his 2019 single The Box claiming he used key elements from the song Come On Down (Get Your Head Out Of The Clouds). The lawsuit hit headlines and ended up bringing more attention to Perry’s beautiful music… Mixed by Grammy Award winning Reggie Dozier also known as “The Mix Doctor” and brother of Lamont Dozier

Does anyone know who took the cover photo? I've been trying to figure it out.

Still to this day, one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE LPs!!! To fully appreciate this one you MUST listen to the entire album and follow the story.
        Simply a CLASSIC with me.

Greg Perry , laurra Lee & Ariola:
Laura left Invictus in 1975 and a year later hooked up with Greg Perry; We were at Hot Wax together and were friends. He called me and said that he had written a tune for me and I flew out to California because we could get a deal with Ariola. We waited outside the President of Ariola’s office. They were playing 'Love’s Got Me Tired' – as I went to walk out of the door, He said,Don’t let that lady go – I want that record and he signed us up and I’ll never forget that!
She recorded several tracks with Greg at 'Ike and Tina Turner’s studio'. Greg and Ike Turner put the musicians together. The only tracks released were 'Love’s Barking Up The Wrong Tree' and 'Love’s Got Me Tired'.
