Both A side tracks are included on MBMs latest "Impossible Star", leaving both B side tracks only available on this release; this 10" is a keeper.

Excellent release. Top tracks all round but Lurker is the standout for me, a touch of brilliance. Cant wait to hear whats next in the kasm series. Get em while theyre hot.

they totally have a copy of this at Technique in Tokyo. . . should've picked it up while I was over there. I already have a copy though so I'm not beat up about it.

Fantastic comeback from MBM. Kicks you right in with Nocebo and after that a little more subtle EBM with Lurker. It's got that Boards of Canada sound that i really like. Present For Sally has got some really good Vocoder effects and other interesting sound manipulations. Agelast finishes this release off epic-ly (if that's a word) with some more calming synth work but still danceable. I've kept my copy sealed so far. Who knows how much it'll be worth in a couple of years?

This is a limited release from Meat Beat -- what more reason do you need to pick this up?? This is definitely pretty housey for Jack, but he gives it that harder Meat Beat touch, of course. Sort of reminds me of his remixes for Coil's "The Snow", which is no bad thing. Highly recommended!

"Skam continue through their purple patch of late with the second dubplate style 10" in the newly primed Kasm series. This time they enlist legendary electronic/jungle/techno/all-sorts outfit Meat Beat Manifesto to bring home the bacon (no pun intended). Across four tracks they mix a blend of uptempo, almost-house cuts all executed with a background of dub FX that is quite the departure from the normal Skam rooted electronica. Opener, 'Nocebo' starts things off with a steppers riddim with extra squelch and a dub undercurrent that after repeated listens really comes to the forefront, its an addictive effort and splurges of twisted vocals compliment the track nicely. Next up, MBM cook up some breakbeat house with extra sizzling squelch and full phone signal, all backed with the EP's characteristic slick dub licks circulating around the middle. Flip for Present for Sally for some peak time acid while Agelast ends things on a Maurizio meets NMB All Stars up Oldham street extended echospace glide with added Skam tilt."
