Notes
This 2015 2 LP 200-gram vinyl edition of Amused To Death features remastered audio completed by longtime Roger Waters / Pink Floyd collaborator and co-producer, James Guthrie, and has been pressed at Quality Record Pressings. The cover and gatefold art has been updated for 2015 by Sean Evans, the creative director of Waters' 2010-2013 "The Wall Live" tour and movie.
In addition to the original recording, part of the deactivation scene of HAL 9000 in Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" has been added in the beginning of "Perfect Sense, Part I" :
"Stop Dave..
Will you stop Dave?
Stop Dave..
I'm afraid..
I'm afraid, Dave.
Dave, my mind is going.
I can feel it.
I can feel it.
My mind is going.
There is no question about it.
I can feel it.
I can feel it.
I can feel it.
I'm a... fraid.
Good afternoon, gentlemen.
I am a HAL 9000 computer."
Runout notes:
TML-M is stamped on all 4 sides.
"129923E3/B" is stamped on Side C, variant 2 and 3. Everything else is etched.

Less then 1000 per stamper, limited says sticker. Here 4437 people have this LP. Someone is lying 🤥 😁

I absolutely love the 1992 release ( I own it) and I see now Acoustic sounds is taking pre-orders for a 45RPM 4LP set, again mixed with James Guthrie. I dont mind James Guthrie but I believe Bernie Grundman is 'The Man'. I'm undecided to get another copy. My 1992 pressing is pretty quiet.

I didn't have a chance to listen to the original pressing, but Analogue Productions did a great job.
I can't think of a better pressing than this, but this is Roger Waters we are talking about.
Anything possible :)

It is a SHAME that many people know only about THIS vinyl edition ! I have original 2lp edition ( 1st pressing ) and bought and listened to this one also .
After many ( 5/6 methinks ) listenings to this vinyl version I can only say this :
First vinyl pressing beats this one hands on , Why ?
1) Sound is much better / spectacular
2) Cover is great ( why change it ? )
2.2 ) Great booklet ( not with 2015 edition , where it is just printed on inner side of a gatefold sleeve )
Well , the minimized costs as much as possible for a 2015 vinyl edition , for shure & then charged it as much as possible .
If you really love / like this 2lp set , go for first edition . It aint cheap , but it's by far the best !

the so-called remix 2015 sounds different but not worse
opinions are divided among the audience
it's best to have both
I have 3 releases on CD and 1 on LP
EVERY RELESES DIFFERENT - BUT ALL HAVE GOOD SOUND

I have the original from 1992 and this one and compared them last night. Long story short: if you have the money, buy the original; it’s more vivid, more alive, has better fleshed out notes and the dynamic contrasts are different from this release, which is somehow ‘softer’, smoother. However, if you have less money this is a very good release indeed despite somethings have been changed/left out of the music.
Not the same as the original CD, some notes are added in or taken out but the sound quality is good.

It is offered in two versions - by Analogue Productions and Sony Music. It must be clearly stated (as all sources indicate so far) that the discs in both editions are identical, they left the same pressing plant. The only differences are in the printing industry - the one from Sony is slightly thinner and has a different color of the inside of the case. This is the so-called "2015 remaster" . Some fragments, instrument positions, voices, effects have been changed with some new features. While remixing the album WATERS made his dream come true and added the voice of the dying HAL9000 [2001:A Space Odyssey] to the background.

I bought one to these this week as it was Roger Waters birthday and this was mentioned as some of his better post Pink work. Must say I am very impressed, this is a cracking recording, dead quiet vinyl on my Sony pressing (Sony pressings have the white coloured inner cardboard sleeve and the Analogue Productions version is brown apparently). The album itself has a real "Wall" sequel vibe to it. Nice.
