Reviews
- Edited one year agoIts funny to read reviews 15+ years later where people are slating the tracks, I listen to them now and they all still sound awesome to me! At the peak of my raving years at Accelerated Culture / One Nation etc 2001/2 these tracks were hammered in every set and I still grin from ear to ear when I hear something off this album! That's memories for you though, a lot of rave music is just memories...
- This was epic when it came through, everyone was smashing it... All these years later, I probably play Wednesday and Dosage, 2 extremely sick tunes still to this day....
- I can attest to the fact that when this came out people were salivating to get their hands on it and just about every dnb dj on the scene was rinsing every track they could as heavily as socially allowable LOL.... that being said, i dont know if much of this has withstood the test of time... this is where the "lets make a massiv banger" main room cheese factor that Fresh was working with started coming into full fruition and was obvious inspiration for Pendulum which hit the scene by storm not long after this came out. When Pendulums first tracks were first on dubplate, most people who were not in the know thought that they were BC dubs only to be proven wrong.... i attribute that to this album and its signature sound. Its creative no doubt, and has its moments, but suffers from melodic elements that dont inspire many plays after the 2002/2003 rave of the night was said and done...
- If any one is interested Torpedo's vocal sample is taken from Star Fleet X Bomber S01E01 Scramble, it starts at 4:28.
I came a cross on it while I was looking for Fresh's X project sample which comes from the same source (for example around minute 7:30 and 8:50) :)

dont know why it won't let me add any more vids but thats the missing ones - An average album in my humble opinion. Bad Company had put out some wicked dark/tech step tracks in the 3-4 years prior to this album and by the time this came around, i think they had already reached their peak.
Whilst some of the tracks are pretty creative, they also sound pretty cheesy to my ear (i.e Torpedo/Snowcats/Hornet) and lack the raw moody vibe of their earlier stuff (4 days/The Nine/Nitrous).
Jelly Bean is a nice little roller though... - Torpedo is one of the best BC tracks to date, along with Nitrous, the Nine, and Flashback, Torpedo, Mo'Fire, and Hornet are sure to be classics...HIGHLY RECCOMENDED. WORTH EVERY PENNY. if you love BC do yourself a favor (and your collection!) pick it up.
