Pete Townshend – Avatar

This is a beyond scare, beyond rare box set, it's past legendary and is almost mythical.
It was released by eelpie around 1999 at the same time the incredible Lifehouse Chronicles Box Set (get one, they are scarce).
Avatar was released as a 1000 issue set.

this has become quite a rare box set that was released via townshends web site back in 1999, the 3 discs included here are the 3 albums pete , ronnie lane, billy nichols and others made for the MAHER BABA orginazation back in the 70s... originaly these 3 records where released private and then reissued around 1977 or so but never in mass quantity and in low unit numbers it seems, this sounds nothing like the who did or even a lot of petes solo work but i would best describe these 3 discs as spiritual more then anything.... anyway as a big who/townshend fan i had to grab one of these in nm shape, the discs where all remastered john astley in the late 90s and released in this nice clam shell box set!!!! my copy # is 0705 inside the lid, my copy has the 6 postcards, the 2 booklets and the cd rom........... this was released by townshends EeL pie label and again it was only a set you could get on petes site back in 99/2000, i do not know how many units where released but i rarely see this pop up, glad i have one now..
