Notes
Recorded at Studio Square, Brussels, Belgium, December 1989 - March 1990.
From the sleeve notes:
This record is dedicated to my wife and best friend, J.J. La Rue. Ten years together is only the beginning.
"My TV" goes out to STEVEN BROWN, world's foremost television critic.
"Justice" is dedicated to the memory of Nicolae Ceaucescu, 1918-1989.
There is a special place in hell for those who would see mankind in chains.
Thanks to James Neiss, Werner at Square, the anonymous donor of my mandolin, and the city of Brussels for its grey climate, bane to sun-worshippers, boon to melancolic poets.

Reviews
- The liner notes tell a story about visiting the ashes of Max Ernst and track 8 uses the title of two Ernst paintings, Europe After The Rain I & II. The second one was painted in 1940-42 during World War 2, at a time when much of Europe was in ruins after being bombed in air raids. Ernst was an influential artist involved in Dada and Surrealism and his work has inspired music by other artists including John Foxx and Morton Subotnik.
