- The reasons for this & Henry Wu's other work on Rhythm Section disappearing, is that he was dropped from the label. Details unknown. If you want a copy of this, grab it, as when they are gone, they are GONE. No repress. Vinyl Pimp (Hackney/Discogs) currently have x70 odd copies, deadstock, all in new / M cons, so look sharp!!
- Edited 3 years agoJust to add a comment, seems like this release has been removed from Rhythm Section altogether. Pity: it is very archetypical of what Williams was doing at the time.
EDIT: now that I am here, I will say that I love the sparse quality of this jazz house EP, but surprisingly when I saw the guy live in Glastonbury with a band of musicians, the tunes came very flat. - Legendary release. I gotta find more music like this. Bummer this ain't on any streaming services anymore
- Edited 5 years agoGood Morning Pecknaam sounds like a club-ready remix of the Price Is Right theme music.
- Edited 9 years agoi picked this up from my local record shop (Lisbon - Carpet and Snares) and it hits hard!!!! slammin jazz-funk style with some broken beat that takes you back to the clouds. Good Morning Peckham is deadly powerful on this one. Rhythm Section is always setting the bar high.
A must for the soul/jazz-funk/house headz!
i recommend it.
