Jackson C. Frank – The Complete Recordings: Special Edition

The Special Edition box set is a handmade solid ash wood box, finished with walnut oil, engraved with "JACKSON C. FRANK The Complete Recordings" on one side and branded with "JCF" on its sliding front. It measures 360mm x 360mm x 65mm and weighs approximately 5kg including its contents.

It houses all three double-vinyl volumes of "The Complete Recordings", the triple-CD version and the trade paperback biography, "Jackson C. Frank: The Clear Hard Light Of Genius" by Jim Abbott (2015, Ba Da Bing)

Limited to 150 copies.

Tracks LP5 I-1 to LP5 J-5: "Mekeel Sessions," recorded in May, 1975, in Lake Hill, New York. Demos for Frank's unreleased second album "Marlene."
Tracks LP5 J-6 & J-7 and LP6 K-1 to LP6 K-7: "The Kitchen Tapes," recorded in 1997 in Woodstock, New York. Frank's final recordings which were to be part of a new record before his passing in 1999.

"Released in conjunction with Jim Abbott's book, 'Jackson C. Frank: The Clear Hard Light of Genius', The Complete Recordings contains a total of 67 tracks, 24 of which have never appeared before. Every song has been mastered or remastered, a number of them straight from the original, brittle reel-to-reels on which they were originally laid down."

**The song titles of LP6: K-2 & K-6 (CD3: 11 & 15) appear to be swapped -- a mistake that persists from the previous Jackson C. Frank - Blues Run The Game release. The track listed as "Half The Distance" is clearly "Night of the Blues," the same tune as the alternate take LP5: J-6 (CD3: 8).

The song "Juliette" is also known as "Forest Of Eden" on other Jackson C. Frank releases.
