- Love the album, but this vinyl version just doesn’t cut it - sounds overly compressed, no sound stage or separation, not remarkable.
Yet FNM are capable of great SQ, as I also have album of the year on vinyl (https://www.discogs.com/release/9027018-Faith-No-More-Album-Of-The-Year), which sounds leagues ahead in terms of production.
Still fun to crank - don’t get me
wrong - just not not something you’d use to showcase how good the genre/period can sound on vinyl. - Why are "Crack Hitler" "Midnight Cowboy" labelled as non album tracks? as far as I am awre they are on all copies of the album?
Edited 6 years agoThe sides seem like they are way too long. Sides A and B are 25 minutes each. LPs should stick to 18-20 minutes. This would explain the bad noise that people are reporting.
Pre-groove echo, background noise, off-centered, cracks/pops. Buy the Music On Vinyl version.- my copy makes some crack noises all over side A. Record looks clean.
