Very well produced album. Would rank this album in the middle range compared to all of Maidens work. That’s a high bar to reach considering their earlier masterpieces. 🤟
I love this album. Happy to have it on vinyl. No issues at all. The art is spectacular, it is truly a pleasure to look at it!- Packaged nicely with heavy vinyl. However - and I honestly don't know if this is exclusively an issue with the vinyl mix or the album as a whole, but for some reason the mix sounds really muddy to me - not much low end - middle spectrum swamps everything - almost as if it's being played back through a funnel. Vinyl itself plays well enough and is quiet.
Nice pressing. All Maiden are. Flat and Silent. Trifold is really nice. Key is BMG vs Parlophone. BMG has darker and non gloss inners thus I like Parlophone better since gloss and lighter color. Sound is nearly identical. BMG maybe louder.
This album is a real return to form for Iron Maiden, who has never been "bad", but over the decades some albums stand out more than others. This one really stands out! It's one of their longest as well. In some ways the music is a bit more "proggy" than usual, although the sound is still very Iron Maiden. As others have stated, this three LP version is excellent, with really striking artwork and a quality pressing and sound. I too am curious how "limited" it is; if anyone knows, chime in!- Anyone know how many of these were pressed?
