- I'm not sure how this EP passed me by for so long, because all four tracks perfectly capture the sound of '91! "DJs Take Control" is the perfect opener track and my favourite of the bunch, while the remix of "The Noise" has some very distinctive vocals leading into some brilliant hooks. I especially love the heavy reggae influence of "Way in My Brain"! Not only a great dancefloor record, but one that gets you moving in your seat too!
- I keep Listening to old Eclipse sets and every time The Noise comes on i think wow What is this ,then realise i have it and its that track again .Really great deep cut that got the crowd going ....Something about certain tracks that encapsulate the feel of 1990/91 .This is one of them .
- Solid four track release from XL, Breakbeat hardcore heaven ...been in the box since release, Respect to SL2,
- Fantastic 12" with a couple of old school corkers ! "DJ's Take Control (Original Version)" is a sample fueled monster over some nice breakbeats - Hardcore classic. "Way In My Brain (Original Version)" is also a great track - with its instantly recognizable intro and sound, which had a couple of remixes on a separate 12". "The Noise" has a couple of mixes again a great track with a tougher darker hardcore edge.
- The main beat on the track A1 is from a late 80's Rap Track called "Dope on Plastic" by an a rapper calling himself Uptown. You can even hear him saying the first word of the track "Dope" all the way through it. The music for the "Dope on Plastic" track was built by the guy from Black By Demand (another late 80's NYC Rap group).
- Dance floor history. Not only do you get "Nightwriters" and "Let the Music Use you", you also get a classic piece of 1992 breakbeat hardcore. One for the collection.
