I love the Blame mix on here. First heard on one of those Artcore compilations and a few dj mix tapes purchased at the time. As a remix of Justice & Mercy's Soothe My Soul, this is interesting as it doesn't use any elements of the original 1992 tune. It does have a vocal that says "Soothe My Soul" but it's the same lyrics sampled from a different tune. Gone are the uplifting ravey chords of the original, replaced by mellow jazz funk (sampled from Incognito). Later, the tune switches up into a different direction with some detroit techno-ish synths. At a time when most producers were firing out chopped up amen breaks, again he goes in a different direction here with some breakbeats not heard before on a jungle tune and maybe not since, either. Blame was not afraid to experiment in the early days and listening back, he made some of the most futuristic sounding beats.

The Blame remix is the best remix on this collection, IMO.
