This whole album feels like the soundtrack to a movie from the 1970s and creates quite the atmosphere.

Another Disco LP from Joe Thomas.
Far from his best, a bit overproduced and a bit too disco ( in a bad way), but still has some funky moments when he finally plays the flute, which Joe Thomas definitely can blow!
"Make your move" has a nice disco drum breakdown,"Caught you lying again" is a decent mid-tempo funker, "Get on back" is baseline disco with flute, "Sugar smack" is a middle of the road disco funk with some nice flute soloing. Horrible easy listening elevator muzak b-part almost ruins the track, until it gets back to the disco basics. Luckily this tune is Instrumental.
In a nutshell the funk is not super strong on this album, even though it is there. The overall feel is like assembly-line disco product, more than a spontaneous funky groove session.
