Picked up an OG for £20 in mint condition. Why are prices on this so high? Regardless, it's a banger.

If you like Blacks and blues, you will LOVE another Mizell production of "Black Byrd" By Donald Byrd.

While I cannot agree regarding the great mix of instruments mentioned here from other reviewers I surely can agree to the legendary of this record. 02,04,07 never age and round up any Jazz Funk playlist here since decades. But I liked previous records of Bobbi more because of less glitter. From record to record she turned more and more to a pop attitude and the men-choirs on this record here often rather disturb than help the song. But still: if you are into Jazz Funk of this time, this record should never be missed. It's a must.

Stellar record! Great dynamics and wonderful performances. Due to all the blue note warhorses I overlooked this one for quite some time. So glad I finally picked this up. Something completely different than your BN hardbop stuff. Now for just fifteen euros on Amazon.

Another Larry Mizell masterpiece. Bobbi Humphries is the crown jewel but the setting is all Mizell....King Erisson, Harvey Mason and Freddie Perren in the mix and there's no way you can go wrong... Perren's languorous solo bleeds out of the last two minutes of "Chicago" in a way that makes you feel that the Arp was made for it.
