- Edited 17 years agoWith LIFE IN MONO, the title track from their album, Mono sat poised to conquer the trip-hop world with the combination of harpsichord, melancholy vocals and light drum ‘n’ bass beats. The Propellerheads (back when they also seemed poised to conquer the world) deliver a funky “Alice Band” mix and a more breaks-oriented “Sweat Band” mix. Lightfoot’s “Hope” mix also sets the track to skittering breaks, while Bushmaster goes full-on drum ‘n’ bass, which takes on an atmospheric edge with ghostly vocals. A fine track and dandy mixes.
