Well not much more can be said about this except that you gotta get that bonus 10"!! Seriously both tracks are exclusive to it and are dope!
So cool. Frenetic jungle that's packed with atmosphere. As a novice to the genre I dig it.

“The Guardian of Ruff” album
I’m pretty sure that most fans of Jungle / Drum & Bass will remember I also released an album through Whitehouse Records which was unheard of at the time for an individual artist… It was that same attitude of “break the limits coz we’re just that type” which was the driving force behind taking such a bold step, as I always wanted to be the first to do whatever it was and the release of that album “Guardian of Ruff” remains as the proudest moment of my career on a personal level.

my version has an accident - record two, side 1 has the label from record 1, side 1! the tracks are correct, just the label is wrong. does anyone else have a pressing with the same issue?
I'm pretty sure the speech sample in addictive is from the 80's horror movie from beyond

I bought a copy of this in 1999, from Manchester's "Vinyl Exchange" for about 3 quid! The pressing quality is not as clean as Whitehouse stuff normally was, although this is probably down to the fact it's an album and has 3 tracks crammed in per side.
You'd loose that higher-end/treble when artists did this and have that grimier low-fi feel......sometimes it worked well in producing grittier affairs, but for here, truth is you can probably get the versions on their EP releases at a better quality. That said, there's no mistaking some of the bombs on offer on this release by Bay B Kane - highlights like "Rhythm" (which as originally released as Quarter To Doom..), Hello Darkness, Ravin' etc really showcase the producing talents of Kane and his fusion of Hardcore/Jungle beats and sounds.....although it's a shame the "Good Good Sensi" is not the original version but a Junglier version that seems to have been produced solely for this album and not billed as a remix. Not sure why...maybe Bay B Kane wanted a different version by 1994? Or maybe he just forgot!! :P
But for me personally; the inclusion of the bonus 10" contains the absolute highlight: Addictive.
More of a Jungle tune, it has an atmospheric approach, wild choppy breakbeats and a deep "music gets in the brain, that's what makes it feel so addictive" (or something akin..) spoken sample that really induces well with the deep synthy feel....wicked wicked track! And because it was a 10" and had a track a side, much better pressing wise than the main album's stuff. Mint music though and well worth adding to the collection for some vintage Bay B Kane bombs if this your best option!
