Reviews
- This record is mastered flawlessly. The music is great but not necessarily my bag. The recording is top notch I’m sure and sounds great on any format. But very few records make my system sound as good as this record does.
- To think I purchased a still-pristine, mint copy of this classic at a thrift store back in '03-'04 for $1. The prices I see it go for now are insane.
- Hopefully, the upcoming reissue of this album will bring the price down of the original copies. Not willing to drop $75-100 for this.
- Reissue is confirmed to be coming this summer per https://x.com/tchapmanonline/status/1780936213165125722
- Hopefully the appreciation Chapman got at the Grammys will encourage TPTB to do a repress.....let us hope it will be in the hands of someone that will do it well and with care, and not some crapola operation that will license the rights, do it on the cheap and not give a hoot about sound quality......
- This pressing is another prime example why the “Avg Rating” above should be used as a guide and not fact. This sounds phenomenal. The crisp clarity of Tracy’s voice, guitar, the drums, and low end bass will blow you away. Everything sounds excellent and such a great album as well.
- Edited one year agoBeware: if you start listening you may end up seeking out this album on vinyl and they are a bit pricey! (But it’s worth it)
Like many I remember when this album hit. It was HUGE.
Over the years it faded into the background in my mind but this vinyl journey has brought music back into my life. This album is often talked about in the VC so I started streaming it and discovered so much more great music beyond the hits.
I stumbled upon a copy at a local record show for a reasonable price and I couldn’t be more pleased.
As most will say, it sounds great. No issues at all with this pressing.
I’ve already spun it a few times and I only bought it yesterday!
Enjoy the music.
