Tri-fold sleeve, triple vinyl release with several unique tracks.

'Half Past Dub' only appears on this release in the Hard Hands catalog. This track resurfaces later as 'Lambsbread' on the Select Cuts label (CD and vinyl). 'Open Up', is an extended version on this pressing, it has an additional section that has never appeared anywhere else. 'Cut For Life' only appears elsewhere on the 2xCD re-issue and the 'Simply Vinyl' 12", which has the regular version of 'Open Up' on the flip.

Just so good. Genre defining/bending big melting pot of stuff all very British and straddled with beats as chunky as Geoff Capes legs

I see a lot of people in the comments have problems with duplicate discs on the 3x vinyl version. When I originally bought my copy from HMV back in 1995 it had two discs the same. I tried to exchange it but they didn't have any more copies. By amazing luck I managed to find the missing disc being sold by itself in a second hand shop about 10 years later.
So if you do buy a copy, make sure it has 3 different discs!

Love, love this album. My version has cut for life instead of the song for life that's on the digital version. Bought the 12" that says song for life but it's not the same as the one from the CD an digital version. It seems like there are versions of the full length that have Song for Life instead of Cut for Life --- true?

When I got my copy in 95 it was more as a must have because we were all going crackers over Open-Up which got played to death. But then one evening you stick on the whole of the album and Open Up fades into the background as you appreciate the rest of the tunes. Slow burner that's become iconic over time. Still treasure my triple although by now it's a tad fucked, clinging on.
