Pal Ramos wrote on one of my Cousins groups on Facebook a few years ago - for yous that know 'The Journey' track, it was one of the pioneering hardcore/rave tune of its era ;)

What we have here is two of the baddest tunes from the 93/94 era
The journey a great dark but happy roller
and crowd control a 94 hardcore tune without the cheese , that canbe considered happy
Granted the piano is stolen from the awesome three but is delivered with much more of a rush

I just can second what my pre-reviewer already wrote. A classic of Ramos + Supreme that were on the turning point of breakbeat/jungle with a darker edge to the ever happy happy hardcore that came around 94.

The Journey with its on point clanging beats is really the party breaker on this though the synth sounds of Crowd Control made it my favorite on this EP.

For me, as mentioned quite at the edge, abit more of cheesiness and piano would have tipped the scale for me not to buy this vinyl at that time. Still a great listen after all these years.

This to me is a turning point from '93 darkside into the start of uplifting breakbeat/Jungle. I remember my mate DJ Mental bringing this back from the UK in Dec 1993 and it just blew everyone away. Crowd Control is a lovely mix of Space Opera's "Space 3001" stabs, some strings and tight beats, rinsing down into Awesome 3's "Don't Go" piano break. Two years later this track still sounded fresh and was way ahead of its time. "The Journey Part 1" is one of my alltime favourite tracks, wicked heavy chopped beat programming, topped off with some of the most moving strings/piano combination since M.A.N.I.C's "I'm Comin Hardcore" - cannot fail to get a tired crowd on it's feet at the end of a long night! Just made to play from start to end.
