- Edited 6 months ago“Art 1” was the very first techno track that sampled 70’s glam rock band SLADE’s singer Noddy Holder, one of my childhood favourites back in the 70’s. And one of the reason we played it to death at our gigs!
Well, that and the fact it’s a kick-a$$ Hypp & Krimson tune! Almost everything those guys touched back then was pure techno gold. They were like the European How & Little in that respect! - Edited 6 years agoFull On Belgium Techno Monster ! Big Tune back in its day.
Art 1 is the main track on this 12", the track has a driving chugging rhythm that drops into a simplistic but effective synth loop, with it then switching back to driving rhythm, the track plays with different and brings in different elements as it progresses. Simple tune but very effective use to really rock the dance floor back in its day, great tune that brings back a lot of happy memories, One for any old school fan. - Excellent almost jackin slower rave track. Art 1 is heavily influenced by Moby. Features crowd noise part from Voodoo Child as well as a loop from one of the ambient tracks on the Early Underground tracks (I'm blanking on but will come back and edit) as the bridge part. Super cool. The other tracks are good too but Art 1 is my favorite.
