Some copies of this have a pressing fault on ‘C.O.D. Rider’ that causes a scuffing/static sound which comes per rotation about half way into the track. This doesn’t overpower the music (it’s quite a ‘noisy’ track anyway), but is most evident during the breakdowns.

It would seem that at some point during the press run, some dirt got into the stamper, although how many copies are affected is anyone’s guess!?

I had to get 3 copies before I found one without the pressing fault. If you are concerned about this when ordering, it may be worth asking the seller to play-test before ordering to confirm if all is clear.

This pressing fault can be heard on this upload (check the breakdown @3.43): https://youtu.be/0hN9rBG1PJk

"Flatliners" was a huge hardcore tune and a bit of a classic, its just full on madness, packed full of synth samples and driving beats. Flip this 12" over and you want be disappointed with "C.O.D. Rider" driving beats and that bassline incredible track.

Bought this in recent years for Flatliners... Was surprised when I flipped it to find more classic dark hardcore vintage excellence.

That piano breakdown (on both tracks) then the shift up is incredible..... Earlier last year in 2018 (yep now its 2thousand&onenine) I had the pleasure of seeing Richard McCormack play a wicked set (on vinyl, of course, huh) at a little festie called Continuum very near to Borth in Wales. I just had to jump up onto the stage and meet the man and shake his hand! Nebula II were game changers when it came to fusing techno with jungle hardcore.. Good old messy but with precision hardcore just like what Intense were doing.. I wish these guys would come back and produce some breakbeat heaviness. They are missed! Peace ;)Crazy Jungle hardcore techno....

This by far my most favourite hardcore ep of all time (talking about the original versions here). Starting with Flatliners, as soon as someone starts to play this tune or mixes it in, everyone knows whats coming, time for the hairs to start standing up. The synths just start to rumble, before we get "action" and the rave bleeps start up with the broken beats, before "the dreamer" and all fucking hell breaks loose!! The full on hardcore rave siren is realeased, and everyones going fucking mental. Then out of the blue, we get the jingley jangley piano which just fucks with yer head, slowly speeding up into a cacophony of hardcore noise!! The track swaps between the hardcore noise and the hardcore jangley piano. immense!!
Then theres COD Rider. oh man!!! Again, the intro's just like a calling to all the hardcore to prepare themselves for the inevitable. Total carnage!! "Thank you and god bless you all" (sampling Ronald Reagan??)breakbeats, bleepy goodness before the sample "Intruder Alert" and again all hell breaks loose with the synths literally oozing your mind in a downward spiral. Pure CORE, cant say nothing more.
This is THE most essential piece of hardcore to those who want to say fuck the anthems, fucking have this!!!

C.O.D Rider is about as subtle as a trackwreck - which makes it an awesome bit of 'ardcore. When you hear those nasty 8-bit thunder samples - you know it's time for some seriously sweaty body-jacking action. "Thankyou and god bless you all!".
