While not nearly as well-known as MF Doom's "Special Herbs", J Dilla's "Donuts" or certain other beat-making mad scientists, this sole release by the Dr Who Dat pseudonym remains one of the most diverse, well-crafted, and consistently interesting instrumental hip hop albums of all time. Equally casual as it is sophisticated, the care and quality of production that went into every track is evidence of an obvious devotee and a tireless perfectionist. Each moment flows seamlessly into the next; providing a listening experience both bangin' and introspective. A true 'beat journey' indeed. Get up with this.
